Former Arsenal striker Andrei Arshavin said that Unai Emery has made a good start to his Arsenal career and that there is no doubt that he is the right man for the job. He said that Arsene Wenger had to go for the progression of the team and that the Arsenal board has made the right thing by appointing Unai Emery.

He said that the team is now playing with more conviction and that they are on a good winning streak. He said that they have made a good recovery following their two defeats in the opening games and that they are on a good run.

Andrei Arshavin said that Unai Emery has made the team more competitive and that there is more competition for places within the team. He said that the new head coach is not afraid to drop players such as Mesut Ozil if they are not performing and this is a sign for the other players that they need to work hard.

Andrei Arshavin said that it is too early to say where Arsenal will finish in the table but they are clearly not going to challenge for the title this season. The former Russian international said that Manchester City and Liverpool are ahead of them in terms of development as a team and that Arsenal should at least attempt to get back into the Champions League.

He said that they have already missed out two years in a row and that it is important that they get back into this competition if they do not want to be distanced by the other top teams. He said that from there they can get the money in order to invest in new players that can help them challenge the likes of Manchester City for the title.
