ARSHAVIN SET TO MOVE

It looks like Andrei Arshavin will be on his way out of Arsenal at the end of the season, with Arsene Wenger reportedly looking to sell him in order to genereate some funds to bid for younger players.

Whilst the 31 year old Russian arrived in a blaze of glory – fresh from a Euro 2008 tournament which he made his own – his career has stalled in recent seasons, with his season tally this year looking nothing like the 16 goals he managed to score in his first season.

It’s rumoured that the most interested parties to take him away from the Emirates are based in the Russian league, with former club Zenit St Petersburg leading the race, closely followed by Anzhi, who play in the Russian Super League despite being based in Dagestan.

Whilst Arshavin may be on the move, one person who won’t be leaving the club is Thomas Veramalen. The talented Belgian centre-back recently confirmed to the Arsenal.com website that, whilst this season has been forgettable for him in terms of form and trophies, he remains a firm believer in the Arsenal philosophy, and will be staying on in North London for 2013/14.

The latest onlinebetting makes Lukas Podolski another name that might be leaving the club over the summer.
