Arsenal is enjoying one of their best seasons in the last few years as they were at the very top of the Premier League for most of the campaign and now are 1 point behind the table toppers Chelsea.
Arsene Wenger and his squad have silenced critics who did not believe that the ‘’Gunners’’ were able to compete against some of the other clubs in the league. They have already secured victories against Liverpool, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund and Napoli in this current campaign which has allowed them not only to stay in the 1st few spots of the English league but also snatch a place into the last 16 teams in the Champions League.
The most difficult challenge awaits them now as they have to face off against the German titans Bayern Munich. Manchester United was drawed against Olympiakos which is a fairly simpler fixture for David Moyes and his men but unfortunately for Arsenal they were pitted against Bayern Munich, a team that is running past everything which is laid against them in the Bundesliga.
According to the defensive midfielder Mathieu Flamini, Arsenal has become a much more united team that has developed big ambitions and they are capable of surprising Bayern Munich when they face off.
“This year, Arsenal has a lot of ambition and are fighting for the league title. We have qualified in the FA Cup and we will do everything to qualify in the Champions League.
“We know it will be a difficult game and now it is important to recover very well because we had so many games. Today, we will start thinking about Bayern. We know it won’t be an easy game because Bayern are a very strong team, but we are Arsenal, we have big ambitions. If we want to qualify, we have to get a good result against Bayern’’. Flamini told the media.
