TIPPED TO LEAVE

The Arsenal winger Andrei Arshavin has been widely tipped to leave Arsenal at the end of this season. His agent Dimitri Seluk has said that his next destination is most likely to be the Premier league club Fulham.

Martin Jol enquired about the services of the Russian winger during the January transfer window, but the club was unable to complete that deal to bring the former Zenit St Petersburg man to Craven Cottage. According to the statement released by Dimitri Seluk, Fulham can be expected to make another move for the player in the summer.

Arshavin has fallen out of favour at Arsenal, and he has made just seven appearances this season. The 31-year-old was loaned to Russia last season, but he has not yet returned to regular first team action this season, and there are long odds on him ever re-appearing according to Unibet, who are currently offering a special 3 Strikes Bet on him.

The £ 15 million signing has been unable to get regular game time even with the several injuries affecting Arsene Wenger’s selection. Seluk has hinted that his client wants to remain in London. The club are currently fifth in the Premier league table with five points separating them from the top four positions. There are only 10 matches remaining in the season.
