SAGNA WANTS MORE

A few weeks ago Bacary Sagna stated that he wants an increase of his earnings in order for him to remain with Arsenal. The Frenchman has a contract that runs up until the end of the season and in order for him continue being an Arsenal player, the price of keeping him will be more than €20 million.

The 31 years old defender has already rejected 2 offers which were made by the Premier League club which includes a 2 year long deal with wages of €60,000 a week but it is believed that he instead wants a €6 million signing fee and wants to earn more than €90,000 each week in order for him to continue his stay at the Emirates Stadium.

If Arsenal is unable on agreeing the terms of Bacary Sagna, at the end of the season the Frenchman will be free to discuss a summer move away from the club and there already are clubs interested in signing including Galatasaray and Inter Milan.

Arsene Wenger wants to keep Sagna at the club as the only other recognized right-back at his squad is Carl Jenkinson but with his wages being so high, it would be even better for the English club to consider making a move for a free agent in the transfer market during the summer.

After not being able to sign Liverpool’s Luis Suarez in the January transfer window, Wenger is still in the hunt for a few players that can boost the attacking department of the team and Julian Draxler is on top of his wish-list as well as Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
