Arsenal have a proud history of quality wide players that have played for the club. In this article, we will be looking at some of the best wingers to have featured for the club in the past decade.

Our first player is Theo Walcott, the England international made waves when he was part of the England squad to play the 2006 world cup at the age of 17. He was part of the Arsenal teams in the first part of the decade that flattered to deceive.

However, on his good day, Walcott was a quality player capable of destroying opposition with his pace and excellent finishing ability. There was a season when he scored 17 league goals, however injuries ensured that he never fulfilled his potentials at the club.

Andrei Arshavin is another player that shone for the club in the turn of the decade. Signed from Zenit St Petersburg for a record fee Arshavin was expected to bring a new wave of quality to the team.

His four-goal cameo against Liverpool became the highlight of his career with the club.  Blessed with quick feet and good shooting range, the Russian excelled initially before dropping off towards the middle of his stay at the club.

Ivorian star Gervinho is another winger that initially shone for the club before fading badly. Gervinho was a winger capable of conjuring opportunities but his poor decision making became his bane at the Emirates.

Part of the Lille team that won the French League in 2011 much was expected from the Ivorian. However, he was unable to fulfill his potentials at the club despite his huge abilities.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is another winger that had a limited effect at the club with the England international always struggling with injuries.

Alex Iwobi is another one that came from the youth team but was unable to win a permanent place in the first eleven.
